This eBook is a work in progress. All sections are believed to be complete but you may find some spelling / continuity errors. I have received significant interest regarding this eBook, so I have decided to release it as it currently stands. This eBook is intended as a step-by-step instructional packet to teach you how to use the absolute basics of programming with PHP. If you have no experience with computer programming, this is a great place for you start. PHP allows you to create dynamic webpages and is available on most web hosts. If you do not currently have a web host, I have provided additional information on this topic on my Web Hosting page.
PHP will provide you with the ability to create websites that change and grow with your users. In this eBook we will cover the absolute basics of PHP programming including Variables, Forms, If/Else Statements and While Loops. It is best if you have at least a basic knowledge of HTML before using this eBook.
PHP contains hundreds of amazing functions and can help you create interactive websites, but you must first learn these basic tools. While the tasks may seem silly at times, I encourage you to follow each lesson from beginning to end so that you can gain a knowledge of how these functions work. If you had troubles or did not understand a lesson, go back and review it before moving on to the nextlesson.
