2007 World Series

Well it is disappointing that the Cleveland Indians won’t be in the but we must move forward and continue with our lives. I’ve started a 2007 World Series blog, mostly for testing reasons. I won’t be watching all the games between the Boston Red Sox and Colorado Rockies, but rather I will use that blog to see how quickly I can launch into a moderately competitive market. I’d say on a 1 to 10 scale, the competition in this market would be a 4 or 5.

I figure over the next 2 weeks, people will be doing a lot of searches for “World Series” and “2007 World Series” - and it has been suggested that if you can you time things appropriately, you can can drive a good amount of traffic to a site, over the course of an event or a social fad. I’ve read about similar things being done during the Sydney Olympics and around the release of the iPhone. In the future I could develop a site that gets good traffic and use that to gain a good ranking around whatever the fad of the month might be.

I’ve been doing some research and it looks like that no matter what the year, the term “World Series” gets a lot more action that “2007 World Series” or “2006 World Series”, etc.
